6UP & Steve Waugh Foundation India announces Delhi Daredevils vs Victoria Bushrangers Champions League Charity Match 9th October, 2009 20:00 Hrs IST


6UP Cricket’s Ultimate Game of Skill – live during Champions League!

October 7, 2009, Mumbai: iPlayup, the founding partner of Steve Waugh Foundation Global launches 6UP for the Champions League. On the 9 October, proceeds from the Delhi Daredevils vs Victoria Bushrangers Charity match in Delhi will be donated to Steve Waugh Foundation, India, to support children with rare diseases and illnesses.
6UP is a unique mobile-based game, without peer or precedent. Post its successful launch during Champions Trophy, the cricket fans will get another chance to test their skills this Champions League commencing October 8th. It will give fans the opportunity to interact with live cricket in a way that adds a challenge and thrill to watching the game. Everybody will be able to play during all matches, win big, and support Steve Waugh Foundation, India.

Steve Waugh, one of cricket’s most legendary players whose association with India dates back more than 22 years, has partnered with the exciting new SMS game Play 6UP, and iPlayup,who have agreed to support his charity in India and around the world. For, the game between Delhi Daredevils and Victoria Bushrangers on the 9th of October, every time someone plays 6UP, 100% of proceeds generated for iPlayup will be donated to the Foundation for projects in India. Apart from this game, iPlayup and their partners have committed to donate a percentage of revenue from all 6UP games to the Foundation and Waugh’s charity work in India and globally. This support has allowed Waugh to make his vision of building his charity work in India and around the world a reality.

Steve Waugh will take time to meet some of the winners of 6UP who played the game during Champions’ Trophy recently at a ‘rare cricket experience’being organized by iPlayup in Bangalore and Delhi on October 8th and 9th respectively. Steve will give mentoring tips to aspiring cricketers, sport enthusiasts and selected local children.
